David Guelich, MD

Dr. David Guelich was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and raised in Park City, Utah. After graduating with honors from the University of Utah, he received his medical doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University School of Medicine and furthered his training in Houston, Texas. At the prestigious Baylor Sports Medicine Clinic he completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine working with the University of Houston, Houston Texans, and Houston Astros and authoring numerous publications.

Dr. Guelich serves as both a private practice physician and a clinical instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery for the University of Illinois and Northwestern University. He is now the site director for the UIC Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship, participating in subspecialty training of Orthopaedic surgeons in the field of Sports Medicine. He is also an Orthopaedic consultant for numerous local High Schools, colleges, and professional athletes. His focus is on complex Sports Medicine and arthritic conditions; maximizing conservative care and when necessary utilizing the latest in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
